From: Bill Akers <akers@gseis.ucla.edu> Date: Fri, 5 Dec 2003 11:56:04 -0800 Subject: PPR: missing rsrc - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I am having a missing resource problems with two different ppr print spoolers. One running ppr 1.44 and one running 1.50 (I am in the prcess of building a machine to test this with 1.52). Windows and macs are sending print jobs to the spoolers via LPD. Some of the jobs hang up on the spoolers with missing resource: Res: 1 0 ProcSet "CIDInit" 0 0 I saw a former post about problems with CIDInit, and I have tried creating an empty cache file "/usr/share/ppr/cache/procset/CIDInit-0-0" on the spooler to get around this problem. But it doesn't fix the issue. The print jobs just stay on the spooler. If I set the same end stations to print directly to the printer, they work just fine. Is there any fix for this? Is there any way to tell ppr to send the print job to the printer no matter what it thinks may be wrong with it? All I really want is for the spooler to count the pages that the user sent, and then send the job onto the printer.
