Subject: Re: PPR: Too many copies of one page printing job

Let's make sure I understand the problem correctly.

* If you send a two page file, does it print page 1 and then page 2 and
then page 1 and then page 2? Or does it print lots of copies of page 1?

* Does this continue until you cancel the job?

* Is there any delay between copies?

* Does the command
	ppop alerts ppad show bby451903nw03-ps
  show any interesting messages?

* What kind of file are you printing? Does it happen if you print a
simple text file, like this?
	ppr -d bby451903nw03-ps myfile.txt

* Why are you using the option "-H transparent"? This option was
created as a way to test print severely broken PostScript files. It
will not help you if the printer won't print and could confuse the
situation.

(It is unfortunate that I chose the word transparent, a word with
strongly positive connotations. Maybe I should change the name to
something like lobotomize or close-your-eyes-and-jump. And yes, I know
that there are people who have a lot of defective jobs and run with -H
transparent because I haven't implemented passthru mode for PostScript
yet. I will go work on that right now.)
