Subject: PPR: lprsrv

i seem to be having trouble setting up my lpr server: i have inetd.conf and
/etc/services set up according to the documentation. now when i send a job
from a client machine (which is not running any print-spooler and whose
printcap entry is myprinter:\rp=myprinter:rm=myhost.mit.edu:mx#0:) to my
server, the job will not reach any queue and lpc will not give me any
information (presumably because lpd did not start up). checking lpq from
the client, it tells me that the job is waiting for myhost to come up. am i
doing something wrong when trying to start up lprsrv?

thanks!
