If I understand correctly, you want to compile and run PPR on MacOS. 
 The only problem I see is with AppleTalk support.  I don't haev MacOS X 
yet and haven't been able to find out anything about it's AppleTalk API.

As for spliting jobs to multiple destionations, I suppose you could make 
a wrapper for ppr which would send the job to multiple queues and hack 
papsrv to call it.
