Do you mean that the Macs will be printing over AppleTalk to the server and then the server will dispatch the jobs by LPR? That will probably work, but LPR is less than ideal, basically because is wasn't designed for server to printer communication. It would be better to use the HP JetDirect style protocol done by the "tcpip" interface program or to use AppleTalk. - ---- I just mean that the printers themselves have lpd daemons built-in to accept jobs from the PPR spooler over tcpip.
