There have been reports of problems with binary printing from Macintoshes.
I have been doing work to fix them in 1.40.  It is strange that you were
able to set binary printing in the driver.  I though it was necessary to
edit papsrv.conf to do that.

I agree.  I have done considerable work already on a web browser based
interface for PPR 1.40 (which is still an alpha release).  I have queue
display, with canceling, holding, rushing, etc. working.  I also have and
add printer wizard, a printer control screen, and lots of other stuff
working.  The biggest remaing problem is access control.  Unfortunately,
due to conflicting demands, work on release 1.40 has been slow, but it is
steady.  I hope to release another alpha level version soon.
