What are you printing from in this case? Here i'm printing from a Mac , the application is FreeHand 7.0.2 , the documents are Photoshop eps files. the strange thing is that using ppad show command the "level" field shows 1 , but the Laserwriter 8500 is a PS level 3 . A similar error occurs with a Tecktronix Phaser740 (colour PS3) : when i print B/W everything looks good , but if i try colour images i got a postscript error ; here is the output of a ppad show command: Printer name: Phaser740 Comment: <none> Interface: atalk Address: "Phaser 740:LaserWriter@SERVER" Options: JobBreak: signal Feedback: True Codes: UNKNOWN PPDFile: tkph7401.ppd Flags: no no (banners discouraged, trailers discouraged) Bins: OutputOrder: ppd Charge: none Alert frequency: 0 (never send alerts) Alert method: none Alert address: none Default filter options: level=1 colour=False Switchset macro: none Please notice that with our 5 laser unities everything works good. Thanks in advance . Bye Claudio Benedetti
