Nope. The way it ends looks fine. That is a Hewett Packard Universal Exit Language command. The sequence <ESC>%-12345X, no end of line required. Try switching the jobbreak method to control-d: $ ppad jobbreak marianne control-d I don't any specific reason it might, but it might make a difference. If you are ambitious, you could also set up a test queue with the dummy interface and set jobbreak to "pjl" and see what it writes to the output file when you print to it from Win95. >ppad show marianne output: >Printer name: marianne >Comment: Yhteisen mikron huoneessa, ikkunan edessä >Interface: tcpip >Address: "marianne:9100" >Options: >JobBreak: pjl (by default) >Feedback: yes (by default) >Codes: TBCP (by default) >PPDFile: HP LaserJet 5Si >Flags: no no (banners discouraged, trailers discouraged) >Bins: Tray3, Tray4, Tray1, Autoselect >OutputOrder: PPD >Charge: none >Alert frequency: 5 (send alert every 5 errors) >Alert method: mail >Alert address: ajake@etla.fi >Default Filter Options: level=2 colour=False resolution=600 freevm=1515136 > mfmode=ljfive >Switchset: >PassThru Types: >PagesLimit: none >PPDOpt: *Option1 False (Envelope Feeder Not Installed) >PPDOpt: *Option2 False (2000-Sheet Input Tray (Tray 4) Not Installed) >PPDOpt: *Option3 True (Duplex Unit (for 2-Sided Printing) Installed) >PPDOpt: *Option4 False (Multi-Bin Mailbox Not Installed) >PPDOpt: *InstalledMemory 12Meg (Printer Memory 12 - 27 MB Total RAM) > > >> >Trying to print from windows (samba) puts jobs in arrested state claiming >> >"1 missing rsrc", i'll start to investigate this after i'll complete this >> >mail. > >Oops, this one i solved by reinstalling laserjet drivers. > ================================================================ David Chappell David.Chappell@Mail.Trincoll.Edu Computing Center PostMaster@Mail.Trincoll.Edu Trinity College (860) 297-2114 Hartford, Connecticut 06106
